Why I Started Aero Delegate

Aero Delegate was founded in 2026 with a passion for helping people in the aviation industry. My years of experience with diverse aircraft and helicopters, combined with my MD-M designation, revealed an opportunity to offer a more comprehensive and client-focused services beyond MD-M work. I love assisting clients and leveraging my extensive industry involvement to provide solutions that truly make a difference.

Michael Charters

Owner / MD-M

I started my career at 14 volunteering at a local aviation museum which after 45 years I am still involved and a life member. That was the start of a long career in corporate aviation working on a multitude of various turboprops, jets and turbine and piston helicopters.

I have served on two advisory boards, previously with Gulfstream and currently with Bombardier on their Challenger 600 series advisory board.

I have held a Director of Maintenance position for over 28 years with a private charter jet company, and held a temporary position of Director of Flight Operations for the same company.

With semi-retirement approaching, this new business lets me continue to do what I love and share that with others.

Rudy & AME's

Office Assistant and Loyal Family Member

Rudy was a rescue dog and he is often seen standing in the yard looking up at airplanes. It only makes sense he's part of my life and the team.

Additionally to Rudy, we recommend contract AMEs to support the Import and Export process when you don't have one of your own.

We utilize the same AMEs to aid in some of the pre-buy evaluation and legwork to find and make the best decisions for our clients.
